Kelsea Ballerini just confirmed some exciting news — and fans are going to absolutely love it.

Back in November, the “HEARTFIRST” singer stunned fans at a Carrie Underwood concert when she shared she will be hosting the 2023 CMT Awards for the third year running. While it’s been a bit since the first announcement, a bigger surprise about Kelsea’s upcoming gig came out earlier this month. For the second year in a row, country superstar Kane Brown will join her live on April 2 to help lead the onstage festivities.

“The dynamic duo is BACK 👏,” CMT wrote on Instagram on February 23. “We are thrilled to have @kanebrown return with @kelseaballerini as our 2023 #CMTAwards hosts ❤️ Don’t miss the show — Sunday, April 2 on @cbstv!”

To help continue the celebration, Kelsea couldn’t contain her excitement in the comments: “Can’t wait can’t wait can’t wait 😍.”

But Kelsea wasn’t the only one thrilled about teaming up with Kane. As soon as the news circulated on social media, dedicated fans immediately commented on how thrilled they were seeing the duo together again.

“Excited for the KBxKB duo!” one person wrote on Instagram. “Hands down a great pair for the job!! ✨,” another added. “AAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! 😅😅🥳🥳🥳 KB & KB, let’s goooooooo!” a different user agreed.

This news comes just a few days after the songstress unexpectedly released her most recent EP, Rolling Up the Welcome Mat. She also disclosed on February 16 that she will be the musical guest on the March 4 episode of Saturday Night Live, alongside NFL player and Super Bowl 2023 winner Travis Kelce as host.

As far as what fans can expect from the upcoming CMT Awards, the show will broadcast live April 2 at 8 p.m. ET from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. While Kelsea isn’t slated to perform during the ceremony, a report from People confirmed Kane and his wife Katelyn will perform their hit duet “Thank God” for the first time on live TV.
