Peaky Blinders is officially returning to Netflix this summer.

Since the British drama first premiered in September 2013, it has amassed a loyal following around the world. Now, almost a decade later, the Cillian Murphy-led series has come to an end with its sixth and final season. But in case you’re one of the fans that isn’t based in the U.K., you have most likely tried to avoid spoilers at all costs to see how the show’s last installment unfolds for yourself. So, when is Peaky Blinders coming out on Netflix? Season 6 of Peaky Blinders will be released on the streaming service on June 10.

As folks know, the BBC show didn’t premiere new episodes for more than two years. After Peaky Blinders season 5 wrapped up in August 2019 and debuted on Netflix later that fall in October, the Irish-Romani gang went radio silent. Last we saw, the group was expanding under the leadership of boss and war hero Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy), Meanwhile, his political aspirations continued to grow. But both were threatened by Detective Major Chester Campbell (Sam Neil)’s watchful eye and the social climate.

Peaky Blinders season 6 will keep building upon Tommy’s desire to gain political power while running a criminal operation on the streets of Birmingham. However, will this be possible as his visibility continues to ramp up? According to Cillian, viewers will get the closure they’ve been waiting for. Speaking with Variety, the Irish actor shared his thoughts on what fans might take away from the last six episodes. (ICYMI: A Peaky Blinders movie adaption is currently in the works.)

“I think this is the culmination of the series that hopefully improves upon the last season and makes the most recent one the richest and deepest one that we possibly can,” he told the outlet. “I think we are determined to make this a special series and we have been extra committed to working hard. I think the fans will be pleased!”

The BBC star also touched on the death of actress Helen McCrory, who played Aunt Polly for five seasons. She died of breast cancer in April 2021 at the age of 52. Though Helen wasn’t able to film the last season of the series, Cillian hopes the entire project will be a way for many to remember her incredible work.

“I think the whole series is really in tribute to her and to honor her,” he said to the magazine. “Her presence and her character’s presence are very much still felt in the series, and it is very much part of Tommy’s journey in the season. It’ll be different without her.”

He continued: “It simply won’t be the same. I’ve spoken about how phenomenal she was as an actress and as a person and it is an enormous loss to the whole acting community and not just for our show. My thoughts are always with [husband] Damian [Lewis] and her kids. I just hope that the show will live up to her memory and our memory of her.”
