Wheel of Fortune’s latest season may be officially over (cue the repeat episodes!) but new footage was just released proving that Pat Sajak and Vanna White are always up to something, even if the cameras aren’t rolling.
On June 29, Pat’s daughter/Wheel of Fortune social correspondent Maggie Sajak posted an Instagram video of the longtime Wheel of Fortune host opening up about missing Vanna during their summer break. In the clip, Pat and Maggie sit by side-by-side at a sunset dinner by the beach. She remarks that they’ve had “a fun family vacation” but he seems to be preoccupied by a different kind of thought.
“It has [been fun] and it’s been great being with the group, but I have to admit, I miss my partner. I miss Vanna,” Pat says in the snippet. “We worked together a long, long time. Forty years now. I wonder sometimes …”

While in the middle of his candid moment, Maggie caught something at the corner of her eye — Vanna! But when Maggie tried to let her dad know, Vanna mouthed the word “no” and sneakily walked past them. By the time Pat caught wind that something was up, Vanna was long gone, and he continued on.
“What’s the matter? …. Anyway, I do miss her,” he said.
Reacting to the hilarious Instagram video, Wheel of Fortune fans “couldn’t stop watching” the moment and immediately rushed to the comments section. “Ha!!! 😂😂😂 #GoVanna!” one person wrote. “❤️❤️❤️ 😀😄😄 she’s right [there],” another added. “Hilarious, Vanna just wants her own space. Whew close one,” a different fan said on Twitter.
So, are Pat, Vanna and Maggie really on vacation right now? All evidence is pointing to the trio relaxing somewhere in paradise. In case you missed it, the Wheel of Fortune cohosts only work four days a month (Pat and Vanna lead a total of six shows during those days, though). But once shooting is done for the game show, they’re free to do what they want off-camera, including take in lots of sun with their families.
Of course, there is also Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, which is set to come back on September 25. This should also be when the new season of the regular show returns too.
