Meh, could have thought of all of this myself. I guess I’m more interested in how to take an old pair And turn it into something else…my ex left all these old jeans. I have enough for like 10 purses….

Firstly, that's a dangerous amount of bleach – you can do the same job with much less & you should probably wear eye protection. Secondly, the jeans should be rinsed IMMEDIATELY once you get to the colour you want, as bleach achieves the colour by destroying the fabric fibres. If you leave it overnight as you suggest, you're letting the fabric rot full of bleach for no good reason.
